During SK’s 18 months in Hamburg (1987-89) he sang 37 performances of many different roles, including Count Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro), Deputierter (Don Carlos), Fiorello (Barbiere), Montano (Otello), Moralès (Carmen), Nightwatchman (Meistersinger), Steuermann (Tristan und Isolde), Wagner (Faust).
