What a fabulous concert!- despite the torrential rain, mud, wind – everything that English weather could throw at us! Simon was on top form, each aria, each song performed with feeling and understanding of the many layers in them. The orchestra were a joy too, playing with great verve.
Simon’s charismatic performances ranging from the anguish of Rigoletto to the heart rending ‘If I was a rich man’ made the hackles rise and it was a privilege to witness one of the best baritone’s sing such a varied and demanding series of arias and songs so nonchalantly. A truly magnificent evening. Thank You.
