Add-On: More photos and more reviews: “charismatic baritone Simon Keenlyside..” … “Mr. Keenlyside is such a grave, volatile and vocally chilling Prospero..”  … “The opera truly belongs to charismatic Simon Keenlyside…”

Well, Jane, I assumed that it was after the performance just by the date and time of Gerry’s tweet … I “gave” the photo a bit more light.

Yes Petra, I see that’s obvious now as it says SK+GF after Tempest Met under the photo…dear me, how did I miss that? Er..don’t answer that question!
Thanks too Sue for the link to the video. I see that Simon has a curious array of feathers stuck in the back of his hair!! They do look a little odd. However, I like the costume otherwise – especially the great coat – it is wonderful.
What marvellous comments about Simon’s performance. I am delighted for him and can’t wait to see him in this production in the cinema next month.

Gosh, its been a long wait for the first review – even longer until 10 Nov!

Two excerpts including Simon now added to the MET’s video gallery – 3rd & 4th videos http://tempest.metoperafamily.org/about.php

Not sure which I’m most relieved about – the excellent review or Prospero’s headgear, ‘toned down’ since Quebec.

I assume it was taken right after the performance last night near the dressing rooms.

This is a nice photo. Does anyone know when and where it was taken?
