Simon was knighted by HRH The Prince of Wales today, Thursday 07 February 2019. The Tweet from Clarence House reads as follows:

“British Baritone, Sir Simon Keenlyside was knighted by The Prince of Wales today for his services to music. Simon has had an exciting international career performing in operas and concerts since the mid-1980s.”

Sir Simon — I heard you in Philadelphia recently. It was a profound experience. Two requests : please come back to Philadelphia soon and please record Ravel’s Histoire Naturelles for posterity. Your interpretation is a musical treasure
