Simon can be heard on the BBC Radio 4 ‘Today’ programme tomorrow, Friday 27 December. The programme’s guest editor, Supreme Court President Lady Hale, will speak to Simon and Ian Bostridge about her favourite operas – ‘Billy Budd’ and ‘The Marriage of Figaro’ – both of which grapple with the issue of justice. The programme will be broadcast between 06.00 and 09.00 UK time and will be available to listen to on demand on BBC Sounds for 30 days afterwards. A new date for 2020! Simon will give an opera concert with the Cleveland Orchestra, conducted by Franz Welser-Möst, as part of the Abu Dhabi Festival next year. The concert will take place at the Emirates Palace Auditorium on 31 March 2020. Click here for more information..
