“Emotions Touching the Stars”

Simon met the children of Strasbourg at the “Avec mon coussin/ With my cushion” educational event called “Emotions Touching the Stars” held in the Salle Paul Bastide at the  Opéra National du Rhin yesterday, Thursday 14 February. The event was for children aged between 6 and 10 years, without their parents in attendance. Click on picture above for more information and photos.

And some more dates for the 2019-20 season have now been added to the performance calendar. Simon will sing Golaud in Pelléas et Mélisande at the Staatsoper Hamburg in November 2019. Click here for more information..

Simon was knighted by HRH The Prince of Wales today, Thursday 07 February 2019. The Tweet from Clarence House reads as follows:

“British Baritone, Sir Simon Keenlyside was knighted by The Prince of Wales today for his services to music. Simon has had an exciting international career performing in operas and concerts since the mid-1980s.”

Wigmore Hall, May 2018

Simon and Malcolm Martineau will appear in recital at the Wigmore Hall, London, on 02 January 2020. This concert is part of Malcolm Martineau’s Schumann Song Series, which will run throughout the 2019-20 season. The programme for the concert has not yet been announced.
