Spring Gala Concert

"The Royal Ballet and The Royal Opera unite for a gala performance in support of the Royal Opera House Covent Garden Foundation. The Spring Gala, curated by Kevin O’Hare and Oliver Mears, celebrates an international cast of world-renowned singers and Royal Ballet Principal dancers. This unmissable celebration will showcase the very best in ballet and opera.

The Royal Ballet programme is a diverse showcase of the talents of the Company and its celebrated Principal dancers.

The Programme featured Stories from The Royal Ballet and from the Royal Opera

Sir Ian McKellen welcomed the audience, which included His Majesty King Charles III.

Excerpts from several ballets were performed by the dancers of the Royal Ballet and opera excerpts were performed by several well known singers.

Simon performed in the second half of the concert. His solo contribution was the Prologue from Pagliacci, 'Si puo? Si puo?'.

He also joined in the Act III Finale of Verdi's 'Falstaff', singing Ford, with Bryn Terfel as Falstaff. This scene closed the concert.
